Welcome
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what's next? Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect.
I'm Jen, and I offer in-person psychotherapeutic counselling in Newcastle upon Tyne for young adults and adults experiencing mental health issues as they navigate life transitions.
Whether you are navigating the transition into adulthood, thinking of retiring, adjusting to changing family relationships, questioning your direction, or facing a significant life change, counselling can provide a space to slow things down and make sense of things.
Much of my work focuses on supporting young adults aged 18-30 as they navigate the transition to adulthood. This stage of life can bring uncertainty, pressure, and difficult questions about identity and relationships. Many of the young adults I support experience anxiety, low mood, and self-esteem issues, as they make their way into adulthood, and counselling provides a space in which they can express their hopes and fears for the future without judgement.
I also work with the parents of young adults as their relationships with their children change as they grow older, forcing questions about their own identity too.

How Counselling Works
Initial Consultation
We begin with an initial consultation to get a clear sense of what’s going on for you and to see if we are a good fit for each other. If we agree to work together our sessions will draw on a range of approaches tailored to your individual needs, supporting your personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
Our Work Together
Throughout our work together, you’ll receive steady support and guidance, with the flexibility to adjust our focus as things evolve. You’ll have the opportunity to develop practical coping strategies and skills that can help you navigate life’s challenges and maintain a greater sense of balance.
The Benefits
Counselling can be a powerful way to develop self-awareness, regain a sense of control, and build a future which reflects who you are rather than what others want you to be. Many people find that therapy not only improves their mental health, but also strengthens their relationships and brings a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
